Baltimore Ravens team up with DraftKings in new partnership deal

The Baltimore Ravens have decided to partner with DraftKings Inc. The two companies announced a new partnership agreement was signed, naming DraftKings the official Daily Fantasy Sports, Sports Betting, and Free-to-Play Partner. The deal marks the first time the gambling brand has signed a deal in Maryland and the fifth agreement with an NFL team.

Deal Details

As part of the new partnership, DraftKings brand will now be seen everywhere within the Ravens’ franchise. Branding and customized content will be created featuring DraftKings and showcased during “The Lounge”, a weekly podcast show offered by the Ravens.

The sports betting brand is also now the title sponsor for the Gameday Insider pregame show, aired on Baltimore WBAL-1090 News Radio. For video content online, DraftKings will act as presenting sponsor for the Ravens. Before big games and certain events, the brand will be highlighted via homepage takeovers of the NFL team’s website.

DraftKings’ Chief Business Officer Ezra Kucharz commented on the new deal by stating that as the 2021 NFL season begins, the deal with the Ravens will showcase the commitment of the company to fan engagement.

“The newly penned relationship offers something for every kind of sports fan and will allow them to engage with DraftKings’ digital content, free-to-play product, daily fantasy sports and, perhaps soon, sports betting, to ultimately bring them closer to the action alongside one of the top teams from the AFC North.”

Kevin Rochlitz, the chief sales officer for the Ravens, commented too, stating that the partnership shows the teams commitment to providing unique fan engagement experiences. The NFL team is looking forward to seeing the innovative ideas that will help connect with fans across several platforms.

Teaming up with BetMGM

DraftKings is not the only brand that the Ravens have teamed up with. Back in May, the NFL franchise announced a deal with BetMGM. The brand was named the official gaming partner for the team, and both will work together to create co-branded promotions for football fans.

BetMGM branding will be seen across digital and social media outlets along with placement inside the M&T Bank Stadium. The mobile sports betting app of the brand will feature promotions and marketing catered specifically towards the Ravens team.

These partnerships are just a small example as to how the sports betting industry is working with professional sports leagues. More deals of this nature are expected in the future as sports betting continues to grow and expand across the United States.
